KOKUA "To help":
50% of Proceeds from sales will be donated to the Pu'uhonua o Puna Info & Supply Hub, which is 100% community driven and funded. It serves as a place of refuge and comfort for  those displaced by the May 2018 lava eruptions. Their goal is to provide supplies and information directly to the people.  As a family run company, born and bred in the  Hawaiian Islands, we are deeply affected by the destruction the Lava has caused so far. For more info More info on Pu'uhonua o Puna visit their FB page @puuhonuaopuna.

The Situation in Puna:
As most are well aware a new eruption started on May 3rd along the East rift Zone of Hawaii Island's Kilauea Volcano. The eruption continues to spew lava into residential subdivisions in the Puna district of the Big Island, prompting mandatory evacuations of tall he rural communities in Pele’s path. So far at least 150 families have lost their homes and hundreds more have been forced to evacuate. At this point there’s no telling when, or if, these families will be able to return to their properties. Please Kokua to make the burden on those affected a little lighter. Mahalo!

Moku O Keawe meaning:
The Big Island is also known as ka Moku o Keawe, or the island of Keawe . This name honors the chief Keaweʻīkekahialiʻiokamoku who was the great-grandfather of Kamehameha I. Since his reign over the island was peaceful and prosperous, the island bears his name. The 'Ohi'a Lehua is the flower of Hawaii Island. Both the 'Ohi'a Tree and Lehua blossom play a major role in the Hawaiian culture, both in Hula and Moʻolelo (stories) concerning Pele the Goddess of Fire.
